Emi Canyn is the ex-wife of Robert Alan Deal best known by his stage name Mick Mars, an American musician and the former lead guitarist and co-founder of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe.

Emi is Mars’ second wife. They got married on 29th September 1990.
Emi and Mars were married for four years (1990-1994). The reason for their divorce was infidelity.
According to multiple reports, apart from Mars, Emi was in a romantic relationship with drummer, Marc Nelson.

She was also associated with guitarist Chet Thompson and Paul Taylor.

In addition to these identities, Emi was also said to be having an affair with an American percussionist named Seann Scott.
Emi also contributed vocals to their multiplatinum album Mötley Crüe – Dr. Feelgood.
Mars’ second wife Emi was born Emi Jo Schmidt on December 5, 1954, in Tacoma, Washington to her parents Floyd Schmidt and mother Eleanor Schmidt.
Emi had seven siblings in total, four brothers and three sisters;
- Barbara Reines (Johnny),
- Kenneth Schmidt (Monique),
- H. Douglas Schmidt (Janet),
- Rob Schmidt (Dee),
- Joan McMahan
- Jeri Ovechka (Ron), and
- Jon Schmidt.
Nevertheless, one of her sisters Joan McMahan passed away before her.
Emi died in 2017.
