He is the son of Adelaida Solano and Luis Jiménez. He is quite close to his parents, and they have always supported him throughout his life.

Jiménez signed with the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent in 2013 and began his professional career in the minor leagues. He quickly made a name for himself as a top prospect, showcasing his impressive hitting abilities and power at the plate.

In 2017, Eloy Jiménez was traded to the Chicago White Sox as part of a multi-player deal. He continued to excel in the minor leagues and was considered one of the best prospects in baseball.
