Ellie mentioned that she considers her sister, Kate as one of her closest siblings. Simmonds also said in an interview that her parents were quite supportive as she was growing up.

She said, “I don’t remember my parents ever telling me anything and they never gave Katie or me any special treatment. They advised me not to let anything stop me if I wanted to achieve something”.
Kaitie continues to dominate in her career as she has won a lot of medals and broken a lot of records to that effect.
