Who Is Ellie Roebuck?

Ellie Roebuck is a football goalkeeper who plays for Women’s Super League club Manchester City.

Roebuck was born on September 23, 1999, in Sheffield, England, and has played for Sheffield United, Manchester City, England U17 & U19 teams, and Great Britain.

Roebuck turned pro in 2018 with Manchester City, and went on to win both the FA Cup and League Cup. She was awarded the inaugural Barclays FA WSL Golden Glove, following 16 league appearances.

On the international stage, Roebuck made her debut for England in 2018, and in 2021, she was selected as one of the two goalkeepers in the Great Britain women’s Olympic football team for the 2020 Olympics.

In 2022, she played with the England team at the UEFA Women’s Euro Championship.

In May 2023, Roebuck was named to the squad representing England at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
