Mertens has six WTA Tour singles titles and 15 doubles titles, including three Grand Slam titles in women’s doubles: the 2019 US Open and 2021 Australian Open with Aryna Sabalenka, and the 2021 Wimbledon Championships with Hsieh Su-Wei.

On the ITF Circuit, she has 11 singles and 13 doubles titles.

Mertens has had a lot of success in doubles, including winning the Indian Wells and Miami doubles titles in 2019 to complete the Sunshine Double, but she has also had a lot of success in singles.

She has reached the Australian Open semifinals in 2018 and the US Open quarterfinals in 2019 and 2020.
