Eline Leonie Cause of Death

Eline Leonie died in the arms of her mother on March 7, 2021. Her mother documented her short but heartfelt journey through her Instagram.

Eline Leonie was the daughter of Michelle Claudine. She was diagnosed with Progeria Disease. It is a rare genetic disease that causes children to age rapidly.

Unlike other children, Eline’s ageing started before her birth. After her birth, she was diagnosed with digestive, muscle and heart problems.

Michelle Claudine knew there was something wrong with her pregnancy as in the 20th week of her pregnancy, her belly was smaller compared to other mothers.

A worried Michelle asked the doctors to do an ultrasound, but they suggested Amniocentesis instead. She did not comply with the doctor’s orders and was hospitalised at week 28.

After going through an emergency C-section, Eline was born on November 14, 2019.
