Ejisu By-Election: Akufo-Addo Criticizes Independent Candidate; Denies Allegations of Election Rigging

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has spoken out against the actions of independent candidate Kwabena Owusu Aduomi in the Ejisu by-election, asserting that attempts to manipulate the candidacy will not succeed in wresting the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

While expressing indifference towards Aduomi’s decision to break away from the NPP, President Akufo-Addo cautioned against the candidate’s use of falsehoods to stage a political comeback, urging voters not to support such tactics.

Addressing a rally in Kwamo, Ejisu on Sunday, April 28, 2024, ahead of Tuesday’s by-election, President Akufo-Addo reiterated the importance of electing the party’s candidate to facilitate development in the constituency, emphasizing the necessity of securing a parliamentary majority.

President Akufo-Addo also refuted allegations of election rigging leveled against the NPP, dismissing such claims as unfounded.

Meanwhile, supporters of Kwabena Owusu Aduomi are actively campaigning in the streets of Ejisu, urging voters to rally behind their candidate as the election draws near.
