The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the arrest of the prominent social media personality, Bobrisky, shedding light on the grounds for their action.

News of Bobrisky’s arrest surfaced on Thursday, April 4, following reports that he was apprehended at his residence in Pinaccle Estate, Lagos, on April 3.
Dele Oyewale, a spokesperson for the EFCC, disclosed exclusive details to Linda Ikeji Blog regarding the rationale behind Bobrisky’s arrest.

According to Oyewale, the crossdresser was detained due to allegations of currency mutilation and improper handling of the Naira. He clarified that Bobrisky is currently held at the EFCC facility in Lagos and will be taken to court in the near future.
“He is with us. We arrested him over currency mutilation and abuse of Naira. He is in our facility in Lagos State,” Oyewale stated.
