American former professional wrestler Eddie Guerrero passed away on November 13, 2005, after suffering from an acute heart failure.

He was aged 38.
Guerrero was found unresponsive in his hotel room at the Marriott Hotel City Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, before he was confirmed dead at the hospital.

Guerrero fought under several wrestling promotions in Mexico, Japan, and United States, including Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/WWE).
As of 2004, he was a top wrestler on the SmackDown brand. He had also won the WWF European Championship and WWF Intercontinental Championship before he rehired.
Outside the ring, Guerrero battled substance abuse problems, including alcoholism.
After his death, Guerrero was “posthumously inducted into the WWE, AAA, Wrestling Observer Newsletter and Hardcore halls of fame.”
