When did Eddie Ahern start horseracing?
Eddie Ahern began his career as a native jockey in Ireland in 1994, that is when he had his first ride. One of his best seasons is considered to be the 2000 season.
He became famous in 2006 when he role 140 winners in the UK. His victory included a treble at combined odds of 293-1 on day two of the Glorious Goodwood meeting. During that time, he was picking up more than 1,000 rides per year.

Why did Eddie Ahern stopped racing?
Eddie Adern stooped racing because he was banned from racing by the British Horseracing Authority in May 2013 for his actions in five races which took place between September 2010 and February 2011. He received a ten-year ban after he was accused of passing information about the races to Nile Clement who is formerly a Premier League footballer. The idea of the information was to use it for betting on a horse to lose. He was also accused of preventing his horse from obtaining the best possible position, an offence under the Rules of Racing.
