Eamonn Holmes is a former journalist and Northern Irish broadcaster. Holmes co-hosted GMTV for twelve years, from 1993 to 2005, before taking over as host of Sky News Sunrise for eleven years, from 2005 to 2016.

Holmes contributes a piece to The People. In May 2006, his autobiography was published.
This is MY Life is the title of his autobiography, a reference to another famous Irish Eamonn, Eamonn Andrews, after whom he was named.

My younger brother, Brian, followed in my father’s footsteps, as did my other brother, Colm, who is eight years my junior.
Conor, my 16-year-old younger brother, works as a postman. We used to be like bear cubs or dogs, continually biting and nipping at each other because we didn’t have enough space, but not anymore.
Today, they are my best friends, which is valid for all of us; we like each other’s company, enjoy being with each other, and enjoy the banter or the craic, as it is known in Belfast.
