Burna Boy emerged as the winner of Best Global Music Album of the year at the 2021 Grammy Awards. Burna Boy’s Twice As Tall battled it out with Antibalas (FU Chronicles), Bebel Gilberto (Agora), Anoushka Shankar (Love Letters), and Tinariwen (Amadjar) to emerge the winner. The win marks Burna Boy’s first Grammy Award after being nominated last year.

Reacting to this win, Burna Boy and his friends were during an interview live session with Poco Lee, in a subtle shade said, “E no choke again, E hung”.
Burna Boy’s album is now the first Nigerian album to win a Grammy and the first Afrobeat album to win. This is the second time Burna Boy got a nomination in this category after losing to iconic Angelique Kidjo during last year’s ceremony.
