The Orlando TV station reported Thursday morning that Dylan Lyons was the reporter who lost his life following the incident that killed one of their coworkers and injured another.

A profile on the news organization’s website states that Dylan Lyons started working for Spectrum News 13 in July 2022 as a multimedia journalist.
On Wednesday, February 22, 2023, Dylan Lyons was in Pine Hills with a news crew to cover the story of a woman who had been discovered and shot to death.
Dylan Lyons and a photojournalist, identified as Jesse Walden by Spectrum News 13, were shot while acting in the course of duty by Keith Melvin Moses, the shooter who was engaged in the prior incident and who returned to the scene.

Unfortunately, both Dylan Lyons and his coworker Jesse passed away instantly. The violence was described as a tragedy by Spectrum News in a previous statement on Wednesday.
“We are shocked and grieved by the tragic deaths of our colleague and the other people today. During this extremely trying time, our thoughts are with the families, friends, and coworkers of our employees. We continue to have faith that our injured colleague will fully recover,” it said.
The family was still finalizing the details of her final burial arrangements as of the time of this writing. We’ll keep you informed.
