Professional ice hockey player Dylan Larkin has been the Detroit Red Wings’ backup captain since the team’s inception.
The Wings, who compete in the National Hockey League (NHL), selected Larkin with the 15th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Larkin, a brilliant athlete noted for his aggressive play, shone brightly even in high school. He was honored as the Freshman of the Year while playing for the Michigan Wolverines.

He was also chosen for the Second Team All-American, All-Big Ten First Team, and All-Freshman Team. Dylan has set a lot of rookie records and taken home a lot of honors since going pro. After an amateur tryout, he was immediately assigned to the Red Wings’ AHL club, the Grand Rapids Griffins.
