Cary Grant was an actor and the first husband of Dyan Cannon whom she was married to from 1965 to 1968.

Together they had a daughter named Jennifer.

Cary was an Academy Award nominee and had received an Academy Honorary Award in 1970, and the Kennedy Center Honor in 1981.

Cannon had written a memoir Dear Cary in 2011, which became a New York Times Best Seller. In 2022, Cannon announced the book would be adapted into a miniseries which she would executive produce.

Cary passed away on November 29, 1986.

However, it was in 1969 that she experienced a breakthrough moment with her role in the sex comedy “Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice.”

Dyan Cannon’s talent continued to shine in subsequent years. Notably, her lead role in “Such Good Friends” (1971), “Heaven Can Wait” (1978), “The Love Machine,” “Shamus,” “The Last of Sheila,” and “Revenge of the Pink Panther” (1978),.

Others include “Honeysuckle Rose,” “Coast to Coast,” “Deathtrap,” “Author! Author!,” “Caddyshack II,” “8 Heads in a Duffel Bag,” “Out to Sea,” and “Boynton Beach Club.”

Cannon was honored as Female Star of the Year by the National Association of Theatre Owners in 1973 and the Hollywood Women’s Press Club in 1979.
