Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the Founder and General Overseer of Action Chapel International, has voiced his concerns about the severe hardships facing the nation.

He highlighted the widespread distress among citizens due to the economic challenges.

The Archbishop noted that the exodus of trained nurses and doctors seeking employment abroad is a clear sign of the country’s crisis.

He stressed that the economic difficulties have caused significant suffering for many Ghanaians, an issue that demands urgent attention.

During a meeting on Monday, May 20, 2024, with John Dramani Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and members of the Christian Ecumenical Council, Duncan-Williams expressed his worries about the nation’s hardships.

“There is too much pain and suffering in this country. All our doctors and nurses are leaving,” he stated, as reported by myjoyonline.com.

Duncan-Williams also underscored the importance of conducting the upcoming 2024 elections with integrity and transparency to ensure peace and protect democracy.

“We just pray that things will be well handled and managed with transparency and fairness so that we will not end up being refugees in any other country. Because without proper fairness, honesty, and transparency, things may fall out of hand. And may I say this, that nobody should think that the Ghanaian is a very gentle, ‘I don’t like trouble’ human being. It is not true,” he added.

The 2024 general elections are scheduled for December 7, 2024.
