Taylor Cole-Skogstad, 29, is suspected of murdering his aunt and uncle, two young cousins, and a dog before killing himself, according to Duluth Police Chief Mike Tusken.
Tusken said the bodies of Riana Lou Barry, 44, Sean Christopher Barry, 47, Shiway Elizabeth Barry, 12, and Sadie Lucille Barry, 9, were discovered in the home Wednesday afternoon.
Cole-Skogstad was also discovered dead in his home, with a 9 mm gun near his body, he said.

Tusken believes the family was murdered overnight. Tusken stated that the victims died as a result of “gunshot wounds while they were sleeping.” “You can’t unsee it, so it’s extremely difficult,” he explained.
Hermantown police attempted to conduct a welfare check on Cole-Skogstad before arriving at the home but were unable to locate him, according to Tusken. Robots and drones were used to search the premises, and a tactical response team entered the home and discovered the bodies around 3 p.m., according to Tusken.
