Dripping Springs Teacher, Kevin McLean has been arrested after a coordination effort between Hays County Sherriff’s office, Austin Police Department, and Dripping Spring ISD investigation.

McLean was arrested at 2:10 pm on Thursday, May 5, 2022, after seven (7) counts of warrants were issued. He is currently facing four class A misdemeanor charges of sale, distribution, and display of harmful material to a minor and three second-degree felony charges of distribution of controlled substance to a minor, according to HCSO.

The Dripping Spring ISD has issued a statement that investigations are still ongoing and they are doing anything they possibly can to keep the students safe.
“Mr. McLean will not be returning to any campus or DSISD property, as DSISD had previously received and accepted his resignation unrelated to the recent allegations.” DSID wrote.
A search warrant which requested the cell phone of McLean also revealed that he was having an improper relationship with students between the ages of 12 and 14.
