Drew Griffin was an American journalist. He was known for his work at the American cable news channel, CNN. He was an investigative reporter for CBS 2 News in Los Angeles for 10 years. He joined CNN in May 2004.

In September 2005, Griffin covered the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He reports that the looting by some New Orleans police officers led to a police investigation.

He also broke stories about nursing home deaths after Katrina. Griffin and CNN won a Peabody award for their Hurricane Katrina coverage.
Griffin was married to Margot and had three children. He died from cancer on December 17, 2022, at the age of 60.
