Drew Patrick Allar is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Penn State Nittany Lions.

He is the son of Kevin and Dawn Allar. Drew comes from a football family. Allar’s father, Kevin, played tight end at Eastern Michigan, while his mother, Dawn, went to school at Akron.
Allar has a younger sister named Ryann. He was raised in Medina, Ohio, and graduated from Medina High School.
As a sophomore, he took over as Medina’s starting quarterback, passing for 1,802 yards and 23 touchdowns.

He completed 305 of 509 pass attempts (59.9%) for 4,444 yards and 48 touchdowns with seven interceptions as a senior, while also rushing for 406 yards and nine scores.
Allar completed 630 of 1,149 throw attempts for 9,103 yards and 98 touchdowns with 20 interceptions throughout his high school career.
Allar joined the Penn State Nittany Lions as an early enrollee in January 2022. Allar made his collegiate debut against Purdue in the season opener.
During his freshman season, he appeared in nine games, all coming off the bench, and completed 35 of 44 pass attempts for 344 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 52 yards and one touchdown.
