Topeka Police officers responded to a report of a deceased person around 4:30 p.m. and later identified the deceased as Wright. They believe Wright, who was 75, died of natural causes. The city sent its condolences to Wright’s loved ones. Wright served as mayor of the city from 1983 to 1989, 20 years after his father Chuck Wright held the position.
