Born on January 31, 1968, in Washington, Doug played as a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, Carolina Panthers and Cleveland Browns during his 12 years career as a player in the NFL.

He set a record of 286 of 522 passes for 2,762 yards 12 touchdowns with 19 interceptions in the NFL.

He was also amongst the team that won a Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XXXI.

He played starter for the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns before he retired in 2004.
