Douglas Eric Liman is an American film director and producer.

Most of his career , he has been associated  with the production business Hypnotic. He co-owns with Dave Bartis, whom he met while an undergraduate at Brown University, when they formed Brown Television (BTV) and the National Association of College Broadcasters (NACB).

Liman serves on the advisory boards of the Legal Action Center and the Arthur Liman Public Interest Program at Yale Law School.
