Douglas Metunwa Glanville is an American former professional baseball outfielder who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, and Texas Rangers.

He is also a broadcast color analyst for baseball, currently working with Marquee Sports Network and ESPN, and a contributor to The Athletic.

Is Doug Glanville in the Hall of Fame? Glanville hit . 277 with 59 home runs as an outfielder in parts of nine seasons, and as a result, it’s highly unlikely he’ll enter the National Baseball Hall of Fame anytime soon.

Glanville appears to have accepted that he’ll not be in the Baseball Hall of Fame anytime soon and as such isn’t losing sleep over his lack of the much cherished accolade.

Glanville was also known for his exceptional defense, having attained double-digit outfield assists on three occasions.

Glanville ended his career going 293 consecutive games without a fielding error. In the 11th inning of Game 3 of the 2003 NL Championship Series, he hit the game-winning triple for the Cubs.
