Dough Ford is a Canadian politician and businessman who has served as the 26th and current premier of Ontario since June 2018.

He is the son of Doug Ford Sr. and Ruth Diane Ford. His father Douglas Bruce Ford Sr. was a businessman and Ontario politician.
From 1995 until 1999, his father Doug Ford Sr was a Progressive Conservative member of Ontario’s Legislative Assembly, representing the constituency of Etobicoke—Humber.

After his election setback, Ford left politics and returned to his business. His father Doug Ford Sr died of colon cancer six weeks after being diagnosed in 2006.
In his honour, a park on Royal York Road, formerly known as Weston Wood Park, was renamed Douglas B. Ford Park in 2010. A playground and trees border the Humber River in this little park. The Ford family lives pretty close to the park.
His father is interred in Riverside Cemetery, near the park that bears his name. Diane Ruth Campbell, Dough Ford’s mother, died of cancer in January 2020.
