Patricia “Pat” Rushing. was the wife of Don January an American professional golfer who won the PGA Championship in 1967.

The couple met when Don January was teaching a beginner golf class during his sophomore year in college. beginner
They both graduated from high school in 1953 and eloped to Ardmore, Oklahoma. They started their family in San Antonio while Don was in the Air Force, with two boys and a girl.
Patricia was a Sunday school teacher and active member of Spring Valley U. Methodist Church, Northwood Hills Book Club and Mes Amies.
Patricia Ruth Rushing died on December 17, 2009, at the age of 77.

Don January died on Sunday, died on May 7, 2023, at the age of 93, according to the PGA Tour. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Before turning pro, Don January won four consecutive NCAA Division I championships (1949-52).
On the PGA Tour, he won 10 times and finished second 17 times, and at the age of 47, he won the Vardon Trophy for lowest scoring average.
He was a member of the United States Ryder Cup teams in 1965 and 1977.
