Russian ice hockey player, Valeri Nichushkin, has no knowledge of the English language and therefore cannot speak it.

Valerie is still getting used to the American Culture of which he has little understanding.
Valeri came to Dallas after being selected by the Dallas Stars in the first round, 10th overall, of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Valeri communicates with his teammates with the help of a translator.
“Hockey is the same,” Valeri said through Gonchar his translator. “It’s the ice, a stick and a puck. It’s all the same. I love it.

“The only problems are the challenges of everyday life. I don’t have any idea what people are speaking about”, he once said.
Valeri currently plays as a right winger for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL).
He had played for one season in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), and then was later transferred from Traktor Chelyabinsk to Dynamo Moscow.
After his two-year contract with Dynamo, was cancelled, he was allowed to play in the NHL.
