However, his outstanding contributions to the sport were recognized in the 2022 New Year Honours when he was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).

Pidcock’s cycling journey began with an impressive junior and under-23 career, culminating in World Championship victories across cyclo-cross, mountain biking, and road racing. Turning professional in 2021, Pidcock quickly made his mark, securing major victories such as the cross-country mountain bike titles at the 2020 Summer Olympics and the 2023 World Championships.

His versatility was on display as he claimed the 2022 Cyclo-cross World Championships and triumphed in the spring road classic, Strade Bianche, in 2023. Pidcock’s ability to excel in diverse disciplines solidified his status as a rising star in the cycling world.

In his debut professional season, Pidcock won the 2021 Brabantse Pijl road classic, setting the stage for a promising road racing career. The following season, he made history by becoming the youngest rider ever to win a Grand Tour stage, conquering the iconic Alpe D’Huez during his first Tour de France.

While a knighthood eludes Pidcock, the MBE honor reflects the impact of his cycling prowess. As he continues to achieve remarkable feats, the cycling community eagerly anticipates more victories and accolades for this extraordinary athlete.
