British fashion designer, Tan France was introduced into the media space by Netflix after he retired from fashion designing. He was contacted by Netflix to start a journey in the media space. He played the role of a fashion expert on Netflix’s Queer Eye which premiered in February 2018. France also co-hosted Netflix’s series Next In Fashion with Alexa Chung later on.

He was nominated for an Emmy award for Best Hosting as Reality or Competition in July 2020. In September of that same year, he announced a style instructor MasterClass as an educational streaming video platform.

France also launched The Tan France X Etsy limited collection in September 2020. He co-designed a collection of home decor and foods with thirteen independent sellers.
He began his career in fashion at a very young age, taking inspiration from his grandparents. As he grows older, he started working for several popular brands including Zara, Selfridges, and Bershka.
France started designing menswear and later transitioned into womenswear over the years. In 2008, he moved to the United States. A couple of years after he settled in America, he became Shade Clothing’s company director before he opened his own company in 2011 called Kingdom & State.
