Rina Sawayama is a Japanese-British singer, songwriter, and model. Rina Sawayama does not know martial arts. However, for her role in John Wick 4, Sawayama learned archery, knife-fighting and hand-to-hand combat.

She spoke about her stunt work in an interview with USA Today. “It was a mental challenge to try and trick your body into doing stunts at 2 a.m. and not feel tired,” Sawayama says.

“I didn’t have a problem learning the choreography, but it was about making it look powerful. Trying to convince the audience that you’re fighting this massive person and would even stand a chance – that was hard.”

Rina Sawayama gained recognition for her unique blend of pop, R&B, and rock music, incorporating nostalgia elements of the ’90s and 2000s. Her music often explores themes of identity, cultural belonging, and the challenges faced by the Asian diaspora.
