She continues her journey to return the heart of Te Fiti and after she completes her mission, Te Fiti brings her back to life. Moana then returns home to her people.

Disney is set to release a second part of the critically acclaimed animation, Moana. However, a release date has not been determined.

The film has grossed more than $645 million around the world. Alongside Zootopia, it was the first time since 2002 that Walt Disney Animation Studios delivered two feature films around the same time, after Lilo and Stitch and Treasure Planet.

Moana got two nominations for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song (“How Far I’ll Go”), during the 89th Academy Awards.

What To Expect From Moana 2

The idea for the plot of Moana 2 has not been disclosed but based on fan speculations, Moana 2 may begin with the film’s hero arriving her hometown following, countless adventures.

It may also include the legendary arrival of Maui.
