There is no information on whether Lewis Black has cystic fibrosis. However, Lewis Black is a longtime friend of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and has supported the organization by hosting a variety show that raised $1 million to help support the search for a cure.

Lewis Black attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where he studied playwriting. He later transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he continued his studies in playwriting and became a member of the Student Congress before graduating in 1970.
Lewis Black has been an “ambassador for voting rights” for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) since 2013. When not touring, Black resides in Manhattan. He wrote the musical “The Czar of Rock and Roll” in 1990.
Lewis Black hosted the Comedy Central series “Lewis Black’s Root of All Evil” and became a regular contributor to “The Daily Show” with Jon Stewart.
