Jimmy Haslam is an American billionaire businessman and sports executive. His father Jim Haslam founded the Pilot Corporation in 1958 as the Pilot Oil Corporation.

Berkshire Hathaway Inc.  acquired a stake in the company. However, the Haslam family retains a majority stake in Pilot Flying J, and Jimmy Haslam continued to serve as CEO.

Pilot Flying J, headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, operates over 750 retail locations in 44 states, has over 100 roadside assistance trucks and is expanding as part of its Truck Care Program, 44 Goodyear Commercial Tire and Service Centers, and 35 Boss Shops.

The Pilot Flying J network gives drivers access to over 70,000 truck parking spaces, 4,900 showers, and over 5,000 diesel lanes that offer Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) at the pump.

Pilot Flying J is currently ranked 15th among America’s Largest Private Companies by Forbes.

Pilot Flying J is also the third largest quick service restaurant franchisee in the country, offering one to three different concepts at each location, making it the world’s largest Subway franchisee with over 200 locations.
