Jonathan Huberdeau is a professional ice hockey winger and an alternate captain for the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Huberdeau was selected by the Florida Panthers in the first round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft with the 3rd overall pick.

Huberdeau’s career highlights include being named the Calder Memorial Trophy winner as the NHL’s rookie of the year in the 2012-2013 season.

Huberdeau was dealt to the Calgary Flames on July 22, 2022, along with MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt, and a 2025 conditional first-round draught selection for Matthew Tkachuk and a conditional fourth-round draftt pick.

Huberdeau’s first Hockey Canada experience came in 2010 when he represented Team Quebec in the World U-17 Hockey Challenge. In five games, he scored two goals and added one assist. He helped Canada win the gold medal at the 2010 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, recording three assists.

Huberdeau’s international success continued in 2012, as he represented Canada at the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
