No one has direct knowledge of Weinstein’s global network of companies, but everyone agrees that he still makes money from at least some of his films, if not all of them.

There are two basic ways he can profit: 1. as a shareholder in The Weinstein Co., and 2. as an individual contingent profit participant in films that will forever bear his name.

“Short of legal intervention, he will probably continue to get revenue from one or both of those things going forward,” Kaufman said.
