Grayson James Allen is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, United States, he received his second-cycle education at Providence School in Jacksonville.
At high school, in 2014 Allen was selected as a McDonald’s All-American out of Providence School in Jacksonville, Florida, where he won a state championship the previous year.
Allen committed to Duke University where he played his collegiate basketball. As a freshman, he averaged 4.4 points per game and was named to the ACC all-academic team.
Through his four seasons at Duke, Allen appeared in 142 games and averaged 14.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.
He completed his Duke career with 1,996 points, ranking 12th on the Blue Devils’ career scoring list.
In the 2018 NBA draft, Allen was selected with the 21st overall pick by the Utah Jazz on June 21, 2018. A month later Allen signed a four-year rookie scale contract with the Jazz.

He made his NBA debut on October 22, against the Memphis Grizzlies, scoring 7 points in 11 minutes off the bench.

Allen was traded on July 6, 2019, alongside Jae Crowder, Kyle Korver, the draft rights to Darius Bazley, and a future first-round pick, to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Mike Conley.
After almost two years with Memphis Grizzlies, he then also traded to the Milwaukee Bucks for Sam Merrill and two future second-round draft picks on August 7, 2021.
During Game 3 of the first round of the playoffs on April 22, 2022, Allen scored a then-playoff career-high 22 points in a 111–81 win over the Chicago Bulls.
On January 4, 2023, Allen scored 16 points, including a game-winning three-point shot, during a 104–101 overtime win over the Toronto Raptors.
