Does Carphone Warehouse still exist? – Carphone Warehouse vanished off the UK high street in October 2021 as part of its parent company’s massive, but uninspired, rebranding.

Dixons Carphone, as it was known at the time, announced the makeover in May 2021, touting the consolidation of four rather large firms in the UK consumer electronics market under a single brand.

“Currys PC World, Carphone Warehouse, Team Knowhow, and Dixons Carphone merge under one brand,” the company announced.

When it was revealed that the new brand would be Currys, the whole event became a little less exciting.

The company stated that the change would be implemented in October, and it did so with the beginning of a new advertising campaign to promote the Currys brand.

Why is Carphone Warehouse closing?

With the closing of all standalone UK stores in April 2020, all remaining Carphone Warehouse UK locations were located in Currys PC World branches.

The Carphone Warehouse company in Ireland (including all standalone and co-located branches, as well as the online) was closed with immediate effect in April 2021.

Currys continues to utilize the Carphone Warehouse brand in the United Kingdom, both online and in Currys stores, until 2021.
