Do the Timberwolves have a 2022 draft pick?

The Minnesota Timberwolves selected Duke basketball junior forward Wendell Moore in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft on Thursday, June 24 2022.

According to sources, Minnesota got the pick from Houston as part of the Christan Wood trade with Dallas, in exchange for the No. 29 pick and two future second-round picks.

Moore scored 17 points in an 81-73 triumph against Georgetown in the 2K Classic finals during his college career at Duke.

As a freshman, he averaged 7.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. Moore averaged 9.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game as a sophomore.  As a junior, he was chosen to the All-ACC Second Team as well as the All-Defensive Team.

Moore had 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists on November 12, 2021, making him the fifth player in Blue Devils history to record a triple-double. Moore was selected as the Julius Erving Award recipient on April 2, 2022.
