Participating tennis players do not have to pay an entry fee into the Australian Open tournament.

However, they have a mandatory annual due they must pay to the governing tennis bodies to guarantee their sign up for tournaments.

On the other hand, non-participating players are obliged to pay a fee of $40 during ITF Futures events.
