There are two pension benefits for state representatives – the first is based on the “general state employee service”, while the second is based on the  “statewide elected official service.”

Who Is The Governor Of Missouri?

Michael Parson currently serves as governor of Missouri and has held the position since 2018.

Born on September 17, 1955, Parson, who is a Republican, has previously served in the United States Army for six years.

Also at the time, he attended night classes at the University of Maryland and the University of Hawaii.

Parson was a member of the Missouri House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011 and a Missouri Senator from 2011 to 2017.

In addition, he was sheriff of Polk County for many years during the early 90s.

As governor, Parson is notable for endorsing the anti-abortion bill after eight weeks of pregnancy. Furthermore, during the COVID-19 outbreak, he impressed his people with the way he handled the difficult situation.

Parson lives in Bolivar, with his wife, Theresa. They have been blessed with two adult children and six grandchildren.

Aside from politics, Parson’s interest lies in livestock farming.
