Do Dermot and Alison get along?

TV presenters, Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond get along very well. They are set to leave This Morning show on ITV as the show will have Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle as their new hosts.

Dermot started his career at ITV on March 29, 2007. He replaced Kate Thorton on the show as the new host of The X Factor for at least two seasons. In 2017, he announced that he was leaving the show after eight seasons.

“Good afternoon. After eight wonderful years on The X Factor, it’s time for me to move on. I’d like to thank ITV, Simon, The X Factor family, and particularly the viewers, all of whom have been a big part of my life so long. I’d like to wish the team all the best for the future, especially whoever takes over from me,” he wrote in a tweet. 

Upon leaving the station during their last show, they shared a pleasant conversation.

“Can you believe how quick this week has flown by,” Hammond said.

“It’s whizzed by. I want a steward’s inquiry because it can’t be anything other than Tuesday,” Dermot responded.

After a commercial break, Allison added;

“Awww that was such a lovely thing you just said there,” she said.

“Shut up. Don’t tell people what I just said. I was just being nice,” Dermot responded.
