DJ Isaac Cool, Popular Ghanaian is dead

Ghana’s music community mourns the loss of renowned disc jockey Isaac Anim Appiah, famously known as DJ Isaac Cool, who passed away at the age of 82.

Reports from the family, as shared by entertainment blog BlacVolta, confirm that DJ Isaac Cool succumbed to his injuries on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 12 pm, following a month-long battle for his life.

The DJ sustained severe injuries in an accident on Friday, February 23, 2024, and underwent brain surgery as part of his treatment. Despite initial signs of recovery, he remained in a critical condition.

In a bid to support his medical expenses, friends and family initiated a fundraising campaign. However, despite medical efforts, DJ Isaac Cool could not be revived after about 30 minutes of resuscitation.

Recognized internationally for his contributions as a DJ, producer, and voice-over artist, DJ Isaac Cool held the title of resident DJ at Starr 103.5 FM.

His untimely demise has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and fans across the nation, marking the end of an era in Ghana’s music scene.
