Gabriel entered his first year at UCF in 2019 as the backup to Brandon Wimbush, for the season he completed 236 of 398 passes for 3,653 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.
Dillon Gabriel Injury
On September 17, 2021, in a regular season game against Louisville, Gabriel was injured on the final play of the game, a multi-lateral attempt at a miracle touchdown by the Knights.
Gabriel was carted off the field and X-rays were taken of his shoulder after the game. He suffered a broken left clavicle that, although surgery is not needed, ultimately ended his season early.
