Who Is Dikembe Mutombo?
Dikembe Mutombo is a Congolese-American former pro basketball player, actor and humanitarian, born on June 25, 1966.
Mutombo who played as a center in NBA, is regarded as one of the greatest NBA defensive players of all time.
Mutombo won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award on four occasions and was an NBA All-Star 8 times.

His playing career saw him make history with great teams like the Denver Nuggets, the Atlanta Hawks, the Philadelphia 76ers, the New York Knicks, and the Houston Rockets.

Mutombo later retired in 2001, with a career record of 11,729 points scored, 12,359 rebounds and 3,289 blocks.
He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.
Mutombo launched into media and film in 2002, making a brief appearance in the films Juwanna Mann and Like Mike.
He went on to appear in various TV commercials as well, including the Mobil 1 “Don’t change your oil” advert, in which he starred with Kevin Harvick.
In 2021 Mutimbo acted in the blockbuster movie Coming 2 America.
