Didi Conn Husband: Who is David Shire?

Didi Conn is an American actress and activist who is married to David Lee Shire an American songwriter and composer.

Didi Conn has been married to composer David Shire since 1984. They have a son, Daniel who was born in October 1992 and was diagnosed with autism. Conn is also the stepmother of Matthew Shire, a Los Angeles screenwriter.

David Lee Shire was born in Buffalo, New York. He is 85 years old.

Some of David’s best-known works include the soundtracks to the 1976 films The Big Bus, The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, The Conversation, and All the President’s Men, as well as parts of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, such as “Manhattan Skyline.”

His other credits include the soundtrack to the 1985 film Return to Oz as well as the stage musical scores to Baby, Big, Closer Than Ever, and Starting Here, Starting Now.  In 2006, he was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame.
