William Devane is a stage, film and TV actor who appeared in Broadway productions like The Watering Place, and The Kennedy’s Children at the start of his career.

Devane is famous for appearing as James Heller on the Fox drama series 24 from 2001 to 2014.

He starred alongside Dustin Hoffman and Laurence Olivier in the 1976 film Marathon Man, and went on to starr in other films like Rolling Thunder, The Dark Knight Rises, Payback, Space Cowboys, and Interstellar.

In the1979 series Knots Landing, Devane portrayed the character of Greg Sumner, a wealthy and powerful businessman,  and his role had won him two Soap Opera Digest Awards.

Devane remains one of Hollywood’s most versatile and talented actors in television, film and stage.
