Vanna White is an American television personality who has served as the Wheel of Fortune hostess since 1982. Before appearing on television in 1980, White competed in the Miss Georgia USA 1978 pageant.

White made her debut appearance on a game show on June 20, 1980, The Price Is Right when she was one of the initial four participants.

White is known for her flawless unveiling of letters on the game board, her grin, and her relentless cheering in support of the participants in each episode. White was honoured with a Guinness World Record certificate for most frequent clapper on the May 24, 2013 edition of Wheel of Fortune.

It was estimated that she had clapped at least 3,480,864 times during the show’s 30 seasons as of January 31, 2013. She’d appeared in all but ten of Wheel’s 5,754 episodes since the show’s present syndicated run began on September 19, 1983. This equates to an average of 606 claps each show.
