American sports administrator Trev Alberts played in the NFL. Trev Alberts was a linebacker who played college football for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

He was highly successful in college, earning the Dick Butkus Award as the nation’s top linebacker in 1993 and being named an All-American.

In the 1994 NFL Draft, Trev Alberts was selected as the fifth overall pick by the Indianapolis Colts. He played for the Colts as a linebacker from 1994 to 1996.

However, his NFL career was relatively short due to injuries that ultimately led to his early retirement from professional football.

After retiring from football, Trev Alberts pursued a career in sports broadcasting and administration. He became a college football analyst for ESPN and eventually transitioned into administrative roles in athletic departments.

As of this writing, he serves as the current Vice President and Athletic Director at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
