He was highly successful in college, earning the Dick Butkus Award as the nation’s top linebacker in 1993 and being named an All-American.

In the 1994 NFL Draft, Trev Alberts was selected as the fifth overall pick by the Indianapolis Colts. He played for the Colts as a linebacker from 1994 to 1996.

However, his NFL career was relatively short due to injuries that ultimately led to his early retirement from professional football.
