Hilaree Nelson was an American ski mountaineer who was knwon to be the first woman to summit two 8000-meter peaks in one 24-hour push on Mountain Everest and Mountain Lhotse.

Hilaree Nelson was a great personality who was a staunch member of the campaign dubbed “She Moves Mountains” which was formed to inspire and mobilize female explorers in the United States of America.

Hilaree Nelson was awarded as one of National Geographic’s 2018 Adventurers of the Year.

Hilaree Nelson got missed after she fell from her mountain skiing plight at the summit of Mount Manaslu in Nepal, India.

Due to the poor weather conditions, the preliminary search conducted to rescue Hilaree Nelson was not successful. Nevertheless, the rescuers up their game and after two days, Hilaree Nelson was found dead on the south face of Mount Manaslu.
