Stephy Mavididi has played for England at the under-17 youth level, representing them at the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, and the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Mavididi has played for England at under-18 and under-19 levels.

Stephy Mavididi plays as a forward for EFL Championship club Leicester City and represents England at the international level. Stephy Mavididi signed on loan for Preston North End in August 2017.

Stephy Mavididi became the first English player since David Platt in 1992 to play for Juventus. On 29 August 2019, he joined French club Dijon on loan. On 30 June 2020, Stephy Mavididi joined French club Montpellier on a permanent deal worth €6.3 million.

On 16 April 2023, Mavididi became the most-capped English player in the history of Ligue 1 after making his 108th appearance, overtaking the record of Chris Waddle.
